Suggestions

Below is a list of suggestions or ideas for enhancements to SharedTree. See Known Issues for a list of defects or bugs with SharedTree.

Planned

These are improvements that we are planning to implement in the near future.

Forward to new FTI builder page instead of building it on the fly
Always run match for an individual after we save them
List the matches for parents, grandparents, and self on the simple.php page. If some exist, then explain that their family tree may already partially exist on sharedtree.
Properly digest dates like 1891/1892
Don't allow people to add people with no name
Test

These are good ideas that we may implement in the future but are not planned right now.

Add a link back to the merge page when forwarding to a new URL
When an individual is changed, send email to all users watching that record
When a family is changed, send email to all users watching records of either the spouse or the children
Add the Family list to the Imported list (not just individuals)
Use autosuggest when typing the Location and the Temple Code see Beau's code
Finish the Family Group Sheet PDF
Build the Problem Finder
Allow for multiple email addresses, allow login with all of them
Add support for Adoption
Show Online Users

These things are suggestions that require more thought.

Add an "exact" option for the date approximation on event edit
Add a Getting Started section that is a good tutorial for users after they register
Delete SSNs for living people
Email users when another user gains access (ie relative) to their genealogical record
Deleting accounts - should we allow users to request account deletions or should we ever automatically delete the accounts?
Create Family Portals like allred.sharedtree.com
Create a Photo Pedigree and Descendent chart
Add text to non-logged in users to explain that they can create an account and edit the information
Add Top 10 Referrers page that lists the websites that refer the most users in a single week GROUP BY referring_url and DELETE rows > than a week. This doesn't seem to work. REFER is empty for some reason.
