Donate Money

By far the best way to help the site out is to send money. This enables us to pay for software and hardware that enables SharedTree to run better. Donate

Share the tree with others

SharedTree isn't very "shared" if no one uses it. Tell others about it. Invite your relatives.

Import data

Help build our database by importing GEDCOM files your family lines.

Write help documentation

SharedTree is a complex and sometimes difficult application to use. We need people to help flesh out the help documentation, fix mistakes, and explain how to use the site in easy to read instructions.

After you learn how to use the site, please create a Wiki account and start editing the SharedTree wiki.

Discuss and form policies and guidelines

SharedTree users follow a set of policies and guidelines as the add and modify the shared tree. If you are an experienced genealogist, then we encourage you to read and contribute to these policies.

I am looking for capable software developers, DBAs, and system administrators. If you are interested in helping, please contact User: Trevor.
