Family Index

The Family Index is simply a listing of last names featured in the SharedTree. Since the tree should eventually expand to include billions of names with thousands of unique last names, this index is an extremely poor way of finding individuals. Most users should use the Search tool and enter a last name and first name.

The reason for the index is so that search engine crawlers such as the Google Bot can find and index all names in the SharedTree.
